With more than 30+ years as a changemaker, Flying Bird's Founder Steve Nagai-Ma:

  • Helped pass policies that keep our water clean, protect consumers from predatory loans, and provide vital health services

  • Was named as the Asian American of the Year for his inspirational work to reduce the influence of big money in politics

  • Co-authored a feature article for the Stanford Social Innovation Review on effective approaches for social impact

  • Founded and advised several successful non-profit organizations that now impact tens of millions of people

  • Served on the faculty of American University and UC Berkeley, teaching grassroots organizing skills and large scale social change
